Prayer for Forgiveness : Our Beloved Elder Hadrat Professor Hamidur Rahman Passed Away

Mawlana Muhammad Abdul Malek

We write with great regret that two days ago (17-5-1445 AH =2-11-23 AD) at 3 PM, Hadrat Professor Hamidur Rahman rahima hullah left us forever. Inna lillah wa inna ilaihi rajiun.

It is difficult to express the magnitude of the void created in the field of dawah talim and tarbiyah with his demise.
Allah gave him so many qualities that it can be said he was a unique personality in his time. How life-changing is the companionship of Ahlullah; he was a lively example of it. However, now not only his family but everyone needs condolences for his death. May Allah forgive him and grant him a place in the high rank of Jannah. May Allah protect all of his religious works.
Many things will be said and written regarding Hadrat rahima hullah, but what is more necessary is to compile books on his biography and the more important than this is to instil the ideals he left, which is uswa of the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam and the uswa of his companions.
It is a matter of joy that the heirs of Hadrat rahima hullah followed Sunnah completely in tajhiz and takfin (shroud, burial and other preparations). Most importantly, funerals and burials were not delayed. This is Sunnah. Hadrat died before Asr and the funeral prayer was held at 10 o'clock after Isha. Secondly, they avoided the custom of giving speeches before funeral prayer. May Allah Ta'ala bestow upon them with guidance and steadfastness on the way of Sunnah and Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah - Amin.
Hadrat Rahimahullah's elder son Mawlana Ridwanur Rahman led the funeral prayer. Professor Hadrat willed to be buried in a common graveyard. So he was buried in Sector No. 12 in Uttara.

أمطرالله على جدثه شآبيب الرحمة والرضوان، وأعلى منزلته في غرف الجنان.
